David (“Dave”) Mike Legrand was born in 1995 in Haiti and now lives with his family in Adelphi, Maryland. He speaks French, Kreyol (Haitian Creole), and English. Dave moved to the United States in 2017. He studied Studio Arts at Montgomery College and transferred to Cornell in 2020. Dave completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Cornell University in May 2023; he will start his Master of Fine Arts at Rhode Island School of Design in the Fall of 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys researching new francophone writers and drawing.
